Description: Leica Summitar 5cm (50mm) f/2 collapsible rangefinder screw mount M39x1 LTM standard lens. Serial #687631. Made in Germany. Circa 1949. Perfect fit for Leica III, IIIA, IIC, IIIF, IIIC, IIF, IIIF ST or Leica IIIG cameras. Can also be used on most mirrorless digital cameras with the proper adapter. 7 lens elements in 4 groups. Use Leica L tapered filters. Close focusing from 3.5 feet or 1 meter. Distance scale is in meters only. Aperture range from f/2 - f/16. Lens aperture is the earlier version with 10 aperture blades for good BOKEH. Single lens coating. Lens is in Ex++ or 8.5/9 of 10 cosmetic condition. No DENTS or DINGS. Overall nice condition lens barrel with only a few small marks around. Nice clean glass. No haze or separation. Front lens coating is clean with no detectable coating marks. Smooth focusing. Smooth working aperture blades w/slight oil on them. Vintage light weight "classic" Leica Screw Mount standard lens in very nice condition with clean optics. Includes lens caps, and Leitz yellow & orange filters. Sells with no reserve at a price of $475.
