Description: Old Smith Corona "Standard" mechanical writing machine / typewriter. Cosmetically clean machine, just some minor imperfections such as paint nicks, rubs, etc. Some oxidation of the exposed metal parts. Tested as best I know and all the functions seem to be working fine. Like most machines of this era, the rubber has hardened. It feeds paper "okay". If you plan to use this machine extensively I would replace the platen and feed rollers. Strong "typewriter smell", it could use a couple days in the sun to deodorize.... I don't really have that option this time of year. No paperwork or key. Case is presentable/ structurally sound and serviceable, has some scuffs, isn't perfect, etc. I am enthusiastic about typewriters, but by no means an expert or professional repair person. Pictures of the typeface can be seen in the gallery as well as a tight shot of the serial number. All pictures were taken outside in natural light and are a big part of the description. Please review them carefully, use the zoom, and make sure this machine will work for you.
