Before these newly designed cards were created Diamond Kings were around but they were part of the base set and there wasn’t anything particularly special about them, they were simply sketches of some of the stars of the game. But this new design was implemented and they were made as inserts and much less common than before so they became highly sought after. The Cal Ripken Jr was the most iconic card in set one, and this was the most iconic card in set two. Quite valuable too compared to everything else available at the time. As always, return customers receive a nice 20% discount, of up to $10 off, so a $50 card would run you $40 ( anything over $50 gets a flat $10 discount.
