Description: CAPTIVATING AND MASTERFUL ANTIQUE CALIFORNIA PLEIN AIR LANDSCAPE IMPRESSIONIST OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS BY REVERED CALIFORNIA IMPRESSIONIST PAINTER JOSEPH FREY. (American 1892-1977). THIS WORK DEPICTS AN AWE-INSPIRING SNOW-TOP MOUNTAIN SCENE DURING THE PEAK OF WINTER. IN THE FOREGROUND, TALL SCULPTED TREES STAND PROUDLY. THE TREES APPEAR AS THOUGH THEY HAVE WEATHERED MANY WINTERS ADDING A SENSE OF TIMELESSNESS AND HISTORY TO THE SCENE. THE MAJESTIC SNOW-CAPPED MOUNTAIN RANGE PEAKS GRACEFULLY RISING INTO THE CLOUDY BLUE SKY. IT CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF THE REGIONS NATURAL BEAUTY. SIMPLY AMAZING. SIGNED IN THE LOWER RIGHTHAND CORNER BY JOSEPH FREY. IT DATES AROUND THE 1930s. EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION. MILD SCRATCHES TO THE FRAME, AS SHOWN. IT DOES NOT DETRACT FROM ITS BEAUTY IN ANY WAY.
