Contains Issues 51 through 189 of Bickerstaff's Lucubrations, better known as The Tatler, a creation largely of Joseph Addison and Richard Steele, with occasional contributions from Jonathan Swift. The publication was a literary and society journal that lasted about two years but had a much longer-lasting impact. This offer is for Volumes 2 and 3 of a 3-volume set. The bookplates are of the Earl of Northesk, a Trafalgar hero. Condition of these books Covers rubbed at edges, worn all over, joints cracked. Insides generally clean, overall good.
