Description: John Anthony Miller - Alice in Wonderland - signed etching 1991. Number 86 of a numbered (150) series. Beautiful condition. This is not a print, but is an engraving from a numbered series. 3" x 4" (this is not one of J.A.M.'s 'miniature' series.) From an email I received from the artist:There were 150 prints. I erased the bottom number - I put the wrong edition size. This was made to sell marketed by Allin Yarwood, Ltd. Decades ago This is also an engraving I did on copperplate with some etching-,the tree leaves only. The “imp” in pencil indicates that I printed it. This engraving was printed on Somerset rag paper. There was never any certificate that went with this. Basically I am known for my miniature etchings that. We’re marketed exclusively by Reminiscence, Inc. - that was a high end miniature furniture company. My work was commissioned by The Art Institute of Chicago where I replicated seven pieces of art from The Thorne Rooms Collection that they have there. Also commissioned I make a small engraving of The Colleen Moore Dollhouse for the Chicago Science and and Industry. Museum. There were many more exhibits and collectors of my work- Ray Bradbury, William F. Nolan, Johnny Cashare just some names off the top of my head. One of pieces is somewhere in the Smithsonian.
