The top of the spine shows a 1/2 " area where it has worn through the cover. On the edge of the back cover, there are 4 tiny nicks where the book may have been pushed up against something sharp. However, the book is solid and sturdy, and quite scarce as it was issued after the start of World War II. If you want one of the earliest possible Jerry Lewis collectibles, this is IT.
