Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a nice Sterling Silver soup ladle by J. B. & S. M. Knowles in business in Providence RI from 1875-1905. No monograms. There is a beautifully engraved floral design on the handle end and on the upper portion of bowl. Marked with the trademark stamp for the Knowles company, "Sterling 12" and "G W Bixler" for retailer. Measures 10 1/2" long with the bowl being 3 1/2" wide. Weighs 140 grams. This nice ladle is in very good Estate condition with no major flaws and reflecting only minor signs of normal wear. There is one tiny nick on one handle edge that is barely noticed but can be felt upon close inspection.
