The sockets might be 1970 or replaced since then, it's hard to tell. The urns are highly carved, with a dark brown finish mixed with red, beige, and gilt. The combination makes them look like ancient urns pulled out of the ground. Looking around the middle of the urns, both have a lot of chips on the curled tips of the acanthus leaves. I pointed out three spots with pink arrows in one photo, but there are more. They are not obvious, as the chips happened before the finish was put on. The bases are 6 3/8" x 6 3/8", and the urns are 6" wide. Both lamps exhibit normal wear for their age, and have a few age cracks. They have been tested to make sure they work, and each are set for two one-way bulbs. Both have nicks in the cord, one more than the other. If you plan to get them rewired, I could unscrew the neck before packaging and pass on the postage savings to you. The finials are slightly different heights. One photo shows the shades they came with, which could be original. I have to ship them separately, so they are listed separately. You may purchase both, or just the lamps, or just the shades. The only way I can combine them in the same box is if I unscrew the necks.
