Prior to that, he also was a senior member in the Free Officers that overthrew King Farouk in 1952 to begin a democratic process in Egypt. Later becoming president, he initiated many economic and political changes, reinstituting a multi party system. He led Egypt in the Yom Kippur War and reclaimed the Sinai peninsula. Includes the original card with notes about the person giving the introduction, as customary for the series. This title also has a special booklet titled Special Epilogue by Garfinkle that I have not seen included with other open copies of the title.
