The filter has a diameter of 4.5-in, which allows it to be used as both an under sink filter and whole house filter. The CB-45-1005 reduces and/or removes the impurites found in water, and removes odors and improves taste. Contaminants like dirt, rust, and carbon fines can also be reduced by the quality coconut shell carbon with its 5 micron rating. This carbon block filter also reduces chlorine levels in water by replacing GAC filters (Granular Activated Carbon) and PAC (Powdered Activated Carbon) filters.
