To estimate the bore diameter, measure the outside of the cylinder tube, it will measure 3/8-1/2" larger than the inside diameter (example: 3-1/2" bore will be 3-7/8 to 4" OD). Measure in the mid section of the tube, Case cylinders are flared at the gland end so it will measure larger there. Some rare early versions had 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" cylinders, the same as the original 580's.
