Description: This pair of authentic Huichol earrings is so sparkly, full of sunshine colors and all handmade by a Huichol Indian from the Sierra Madre mountains in Jalisco, Mexico. All of the beads are made of micro glass and, using the traditional Huichol weaving techniques, they form important symbols for the Huichol culture. One-by-one, the glass beads are individually strung to form gorgeous medallion dangle style earrings. The design incorporates the Huichol Peyote spirit star cactus flower that is important for the Shaman leaders in religious ceremonies. Communicating with their Gods is important for the future of the Huichol people. So sparkly, festival style and perfect for the bohemian look that we all know and love. Dangle: Round medallion with green and black edges, metallic silver and metallic gold star with a yellow peyote flower middle. 11 dangles are below the medallion with angled colors of black, yellow, metallic gold and silver and green flower bud tips with a slightly larger jet black faceted bead at the end. Glass Seed Beads: Metallic center green, silver, and gold. Solid black and green.Hardware: Silver plated hook.Overall Size: 4.75"L x 1.6"W These earrings are 100% authentic Huichol and handmade especially for our store.
