HUFFMAN'S FRIENDS ONE POINT BARB on PARALLEL FLAT LINES - ANTIQUE BARBED WIRE

Description: This is a vintage sample of barbed wire fencing. This sample features an Orlando Huffman patent, dated December 31, 1889. This wire is called "Huffman's Friends Parallel - One Point Barb on Flattened Parallel Lines" by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 213-B). This wire features two flattened line wires, that run parallel to each other. One point of barb is placed between the two lines, and remainder wrapped around both lines, with only first barb extended beyond lines. Lines and barbs are rolled flat. Sample shows moderate oxidation. Sample is 18" in length. There are seven barbs. Barbs are well spaced and cut is well centered. There is some light bending of points, but no broken or missing points.
