Description: Dell Enterprise Plus manufactured by HGST model HUC101212CSS600 2.5 inch 1.2TB, 10,000 rpm hard drive FOR PARTS ONLY. They are known to have problems and are guaranteed to be defective. These are SAS (NOT the common SATA) drives and will not even plug into a normal SATA connector. Inexpensive adapters are available for the connector but the interface needs to support SAS. Some main-boards have a switch for that but it may not be common. These are probably just nice conversation pieces for most techno-dweeb types both because they are known to have unidentified problems, but also because the typical PC doesn't support SAS. Got it? Other sellers have 1TB fully functional SATA 2.5 inch HDDs for under $10 delivered so the only reason to want these is if you are an SAS addict. ;-) Even with the physical adapter, I could not get them spin up in a USB expansion box that provides the required 5V and 12V. Whether they need a command that isn't being issued or these samples are simply dead as crud is not known. Salvage the platters for your next art project or use as a high tech paperweight or for show and tell! Sold as-is NO returns unless found to function perfectly.
