Most of the work in this collection spans the artist's life to the first half of the 20th century, with the majority signed and dated. Cutner has succeeded in suggesting an enormous amount of detail in each composition, through carefully controlled areas of cross hatch and crisp printed line. This collection could have you browsing for a while!Biography Herbert Cutner was an etcher and writer born in Hull. He studied at the London County Council Bolt Court School of Art and at the Central School of Arts and Crafts, where his tutors included Walter Bayes and Frank Lewis Emanuel.
