No markings or writings. Remarkable condition for a 71 year old book. Pictures included are of the actual book being offered for sale. From the estate of Ray and Trudy Gildea of Twelve Gables in Columbus, MS. The book tells of the author’s autobiographical experiences escaping from a British interment camp in Northern India during World War II to the Tibetan capital of Lhasa, where he established a strong relationship with the young Dalia Llama. The basis for a 1997 major motion picture starring Brad Pitt. Beautiful, informative, and collectible!
