Description: Backstory on this doll: We took a vacation to New Orleans during Spring Break. We visited the main attractions, etc. One of our friends in our group wanted to visit Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, so we made the drive. On the way there, there were people selling things on back of an old truck. The things looked really old so we stopped by and I saw the sock puppet. The lady selling told me the doll wasn't for sale, that it was taken off a plantation and she felt it was cursed. She was just gonna get rid of it. I told her I'd take it off her hands but she was adamant about not selling it. I offered everything I had and reluctantly she took it. I brought the doll home. Doll inspection: The doll doesn't appear to be super old, but I can be mistaken. The left arm appeared to have been ripped open and something placed inside. Feels like a coin. My wife does not want me to open it up. There is also what seems to be a green moon stamp on the back of the doll. Not sure what it means, I've done intensive google searches but nothing had come up. The mouth seems to have been sewn up. It also had a red ribbon around it's neck. Initially it smelled like incense. It does have an extremely creepy aura to it. Events that have transpired: On the first day home, the house started smelling like something was burning, there was nothing. All the light bulbs in the room where the doll was burnt out. I've already bought 2 new packs. Nightmares almost every night. There has been a clicking noise that happens every once in a while throughout the house. My wife says the doll had moved from where she sits it, but that I can't confirm. Things have gone missing around the house and later we've found them in the weirdest areas. For example: the kitchen spatula in the restroom hamper. Update! We have recently heard these deep raspy growls coming from the office where the doll was.
