She has been in a containment box we purchased but that would not come with the sale. I highly highly highly recommend picking one up if you purchase her! She is Beautifully detailed with delicate facial features, intricate clothing, and life like glass eyes that seem to follow you around the room. This is honestly a very rare vintage doll stamped and should be respected as that. The face is ceramic and the arms and legs are a squishy plastic like material. Previous owners have reported strange occurrences, issues with sleeping and an unsettling presence when this doll is around. Perfect for those who appreciate the paranormal not for a normal doll collector unless you’re a brave one! There is a small hole in the back of the doll’s head from its first owners brother. This flaw adds to the doll's mystique and the story that was passed along when we purchased is on point with what we have experienced. So here is what we were told when we purchased this doll and the main reason we did. (Which may not have been the right choice) This doll was owned by a little girl named Sue and very loved but her brother was always deathly afraid of it. The story goes that one night he could no longer take the doll bothering him at all hours of the night and in his dreams. So he went into his sisters room and stabbed a screwdriver through the back of the head of this doll and left it there. When Sue woke up she was very upset and her brother explained it was the only way he could sleep. He was punished and made to clean stalls for one month. Their mother knitted the hat and shall to cover the damage and it has been with the doll ever since. I recommend leaving the hat on and not sleeping with the doll in your room. The doll stayed with Sue until she got married and moved away at which time the brother sold it to get it out of his life. When he sold the doll He told the story of the doll appearing in his dreams and stabbing it with a screwdriver was told and this story has stayed with this doll for many years. This doll was purchased in the town of Hannibal Mo which is where it has been its whole life. Until we purchased it. We had her for only a couple days and my wife began having dreams where the doll would appear. (It didn’t help we had her in the bedroom) She said the doll would be angry and asking her to do things for her. #1 thing put my hat back on!!! (So I would do this always) But the doll wouldn’t leave her alone and kept asking for more and more. (Where she wanted to sit, how she wanted to be handled, and even some darker request that motivated us to buy the containment box) It was at that time we moved her to my shop and she has been there ever since. With her out of the house my wife has no longer had the dreams. But life at my shop has been a little off. We have had to replace the AC, a water line broke, and my car was totaled while sitting out front. Are all those connected I have no clue but I’m done with having her around and my wife doesn’t want her home. So we bought a doll with a cool story and it didn’t turn out the way we wanted. So please only purchase this doll if you’re ok with its history and prepared for it. My wife has always had a connection to the afterlife which may have been a catalyst to her entering her dreams (I never had that issue). So if you are connected keep that in mind. If you check my eBay store I don’t really sell haunted dolls but I couldn’t just sell it as a normal doll I don’t think that would be fair. This is our experience and I can’t guarantee that something will happy to you if you buy this doll. I’m selling it as it is with the story attached to it as we were told. Heck I didn’t even know what a containment box was until we purchased this doll and asked for help. So keep all this in mind and purchase her because you want to give her a good home.
