Description: Hasselblad HK1 1000F Military Camera Kit. In 1956, the Swedish military ordered 20 photo surveillance kits called the HK1 consisting of a 508mm lens, a 1000F body, 3 film magazines and a number of accessories (pistol grips, magnifying hood, filters and several smaller items) put together in a fitted plywood box for carrying and storage - lockable and the key is included. Eight of these kits were engraved with the Three Crown insignia of the Swedish military – 12 were not – and this is one of the kits without the Three Crown engravings. This kit includes a 508mm Dallmeyer lens (serial number 488335) a 1000F camera body (serial number CT 22082) three film magazines (serial numbers CT 30454, 30205 and 30222) a magnifying hood, pistol grip, lens hand grip, direct viewfinder, three large color filters (R, O, Y), a cable release, rear lens cap for the 508mm lens and even a small paintbrush to be used to remove dust from the lens and camera. The only significant item missing is the front lens cap for the 508mm lens. There is a set of paper documents including an instruction manual (in Swedish), instruction sheet for the film magazines, unused registration card, and military inventory cards for most of the components. The kit shows very little evidence of use and is in superb condition. The lens optics are clear with only a bit of haze, focus is smooth and the diaphragm opens and closes cleanly. There are some marks in the black lacquer of the lens barrel where the lens sits in the wooden case. The film magazines have been checked and serviced and function correctly. The camera body shutter speeds work from 1/25 to 1/1000 (although 1/250, 1/500 and 1/1000 are slow) but when using the slow speeds 1/10 and slower, the second curtain does not completely close. If using the slow speeds is important, a repair technician can correct this and do a complete service on the camera body. A name can be supplied if interested. Fine gear speaks for itself.
