Rowling Hardcover First Edition - Fourteenth Printing - Young Wizard Jacket London: Bloomsbury UK, 1997. Cover and jacket artwork by Thomas Taylor. £10.99 cover price. Young wizard state of the jacket which was changed by the 18th printing. Number-line down to "14" on the copyright page indicating a fourteenth printing. Fine- in Fine- Dust Jacket, a really nice copy with some toning to the text-block, common with UK editions published prior to 2000, and may have been read but in a nearly perfect jacket. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (HP book two) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Edition - Fourth Printing London: Bloomsbury UK, 1998. Cover and jacket artwork by Thomas Taylor. £10.99 cover price. Number-line down to "4" on the copyright page indicating a fourth printing. Fine- in Fine Dust Jacket, a really nice copy with some signs it was read with minimal toning to the text-block, common with UK editions published prior to 2000 in a nearly perfect jacket. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (HP book three) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Edition - Third Printing London: Bloomsbury UK, 1999. Cover and jacket artwork by Cliff Wright. £10.99 cover price. Number-line down to "3" on the copyright page indicating a third printing. Fine in Fine-/Near Fine++ Dust Jacket, a nearly perfect with minimal toning to the text-block, common with UK editions published prior to 2000 in a nearly perfect jacket save a tiny to the lower left-hand corner of the jacket spine and a little bit of edge-wear here and there. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Goblet of Fire (HP book four) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Edition - First Printing -Clays State London: Bloomsbury UK, 1999. Cover and jacket artwork by Giles Greenfield (my personal favorite cover of the original series in the UK editions). £14.99 cover price. "First Edition" stated on the copyright page indicating a first printing of the first edition. (Clays identified as the printer rather than Omnia) Fine- in Fine- Dust Jacket (or overall Near Fine+), a very nice copy but the typical toning of the text-block (notorious for this edition for some reason and common with UK editions published up to 2000) in a very nice bright jacket save a slight crinkle top spine and some edge-wear at the bottom edge. Still overall a nice copy. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (HP book five) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Edition - First Printing- Children's Issue London: Bloomsbury UK 2003. Cover and jacket artwork by Jason Cockcroft. £16.99 cover price. "First Edition" stated on the copyright page indicating a first printing. (There was also a simultaneous adult issue with a picture of a pendant but in black, brown and gray.) Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket, a superb copy some edge-wear and some tiny nicks to upper corners of the jacket. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (HP book six) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Edition - First Printing- Children's Issue London: Bloomsbury UK, 2005. Cover and jacket artwork by Jason Cockcroft. £16.99 cover price. "First Edition" stated on the copyright page indicating a first printing. (There was also a simultaneous adult issue with a picture of a pendant but in black, brown and gray.) Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket with just a touch of edge-wear to the jacket and a tiny discoloration lower spine, almost imperceptible. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (HP book seven) by J.K. Rowling Hardcover First Edition - First Printing- Children's Issue London: Bloomsbury UK, 2007. Cover and jacket artwork by Jason Cockcroft. £17.99 cover price. "First Edition" stated on the copyright page indicating a first printing. (There was also a simultaneous adult issue with a picture of a pendant but in black, brown and gray.) Fine in Fine Dust Jacket, a nearly perfect copy. NOTE on the UK Editions of the Harry Potter books: The true first editions/first printings of the Harry Potter books were issued by Bloomsbury UK. For all titles beginning with "HP and the Goblet of Fire", all first printings are shown as "First Edition" on the copyright page to make it very easy to differentiate printings. (The first three use the printing number-line.) "HP and the Order of the Phoenix" was published in two issues (or states): a children's issue with the dust jacket art in red and yellow colors which is probably the more desirable of the two and an adult issue in black, brown and gray colors on the dust jacket. The UK editions of the Harry Potter books read slightly differently than the US versions. Sadly, editors at Scholastic US felt American children wouldn't understand some of the British-English phrases and words so they "Americanized" the text. Some of the US text reads a bit clumsy. In my opinion, the UK text is far superior and reads lighter, faster, wittier and ultimately easier than the more clunky US texts. NOTE: All modern books with dust jackets come with dust jacket covers.ALSO: The pictures are of the actual items for sale. (The pictures are NOT stock photos.)
