Description: FXR FXRT FXRD OEM Harley Harley-Davidson fairing gauge pod. Shows signs of use and age with some imperfections. This Harley-Davidson FXRT part is older than dirt. They didn't make a lot of them (1983-1985), and they won't be making any more. When they're gone, they're gone (into the unobtainium bin). I never mounted or ran this; it was a spare. The gauges have not been tested by me. The last few pictures show the pod with modern FLH gauges installed. These are what I intended to run, as the old gauges are heavy little bricks, and the oil pressure gauge requires an actual oil line. Nice to have a modern oil pressure gauge and voltmeter instead of idiot lights. I am including these with the sale along with a spare fuel gauge as well as the original gauges in case you're doing a restoration. I don't have the mount gasket. Easy fix. Slit a small diameter black hose length wise and slip it over the bottom edge of the gauge pod where it contacts the fairing. Trim the excess and mount the pod. There is a bit of deformation on the cylinder head gauge housing mount and a small hole on the oil pressure housing mount. This usually happens when the heavier old gauges are overtightened to prevent them from turning/spinning. These are not difficult repairs. Making a rubber gasket or making a gasket from gasket material will prevent the gauges from turning in the housing and cushion the gauges from damaging the mount. There are some rub marks on the top. FYIYou should be able to mount this gauge pod housing on any present day cloned "early model" FXR fairing found on eBay, as the basic shape is identical to the original OEM fairing.
