Description: Handmade Wood Cranberry Rake Berry Picker Hand Painted Folk Primitive Farm Vintage During the 1950's through the early 1980's Popular Mechanics and other publications would provide free plans for the weekend wood worker. These plans were also used in shop classes once you hit high school and of course, a boy. But that's another story! Most likely, this cranberry picker was made during that era for Mom to hang in the kitchen to keep letters, bill or recipes. She may have been the artist too as was common. This is a reproduction of an antique, utilitarian object needed for the cranberry bogs along the southern, New England coast - mostly Massachusetts. Nice piece to hang on the porch, in the kitchen or mudroom. Mustard yellow color with painted red cranberries and green vines painted along the side and front. Measures 10"X8"X4". 241228-2.4
