Description: MRLC-100HP The Intimidator Hand Crafted Rocket Launching System This rocket launching system measures 8" X8" X 4" and weights about 7 lbs. with the internal battery installed. The internal battery which comes with the launcher is a 12VDC 5 Ahr Sealed Lead Acid Battery. This controller comes with an electronic processor based charger. The controller comes with 35 feet of #16 AWG stranded copper wire twin lead control cable with alligator clips. The connection to the control cable is at the 5 Way Dual Heavy Duty banana jack set. There is a battery charger port on the front so there is no need to remove the battery or even remove the enclosure cover to charge the battery. The enclosure is made of heavy duty plastic with a rubber seal on the lid. The unit has a built in 15VDC panel meter to monitor the battery voltage as you use the controller. There is a customized printed circuit board that flashes several of the 9 Ultra Bright LED indicators. The circuit board has been conformally coated to protect form dirt, dust, moisture and added anti-static protection. The internal switching is performed by a 10 Ampere Solid State Relay (SSR). This keeps the launch switching resistance low so as to deliver maximum power from the battery to the igniter. There is an Igniter Test feature to be able to test for continuity to the igniter and back to the controller and is indicated by a small piezo buzzer and LED. This Launch Controller has been field tested with an Apogee Flame Thrower rocket having twin engines and several other rockets. The controller utilizes standard size toggle switches for the main function that are equipped with flip up switch safety covers. Another feature is an audio alarm when in the ARMED status and can be switched on or off. An electrical keylock switch is used an added safety lock-out feature and comes with two keys. Two LAUNCH push button switches are used as another safety feature. There is a Low Battery Detect feature to indicate when the battery voltage gets to about 10.5 volts and should be charged, indicated by a flashing LED. Much hard work, care to details and quality was invested into this controller. it is one of a kind.
