Description: Guglielmo Cini Moonstone Phoenix Sun Moon Brooch Sterling Silver Antique We are currently offering for sale this lovely Antique Guglielmo Cini original Brooch. Hand crafted in sterling silver, this bold piece features an alluring moonstone cabochon resting within a twisted rope design bezel setting. Two outward facing Phoenix (or some say Griffins) frame the pin, their beaks pointing outward and their plumes curl upwards and their tails swag and intertwine with the rose garland in a like a ribbon to form the base upon which the moonstone bezel rests. The brooch is topped with a flaming torch. The moonstone is clear to slightly more opaque white person, thought it appears completely clear against the while background, it emits wonderful flashes of blue as it catches and refracts it, complementing the pins elegant fire and ice design. It is an early example of the design signed Guglielmo Cini on the bottom of the brooch and bears his own makers mark. It has a rollover safety safety clasp provides for secure wear. This is fabulous foundation piece for any wardrobe. Guglielmo Cini Produced Italian Jewelry from 1922 to 1970. Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" wide. Condition: Hand polished and ready to wear or gift wrap. It is in excellent condition. It has been continuously owned by one family and preserved as well as enjoyed.
