Description: This beautiful baby quilt has many special features - it is not your common 'patchwork fabric squares' quilt but instead quilting techniques are incorporated into the quilt such as folded fabric technique known as 'cathedral window" textures (please see photo), and decorative stitching through all layers around accent; the decorative stitching also shows on back of blanket (please see photo). This type of technique is hard to find in a quilt given the time it takes to create this special set of textures. There are approximately 50 lamb accents centered in each folded fabric. The quilting technique involved intricate handwork: Each of these is made by sewing fabric into a square, folding it to form a curved edge with the lamb print inserted in the center, and hand sewn together to create the texture; after constructing each, they are then sewn together to form the quilt. This technique takes a lot of time to construct and hand sew before placing it into position. The background and borders are cotton fabric; the lamb print is made from flannel. There are many layers of fabric throughout the quilt as the folds are created (batting lining is not incorporated due to the thickness of the many layers of fabric).
