When assessing and determining value and pricing, figure you have two matched hard to source large diamonds on side of mounting. (2) Matched pairs of side diamonds of this quality can cost a small fortune and hard to source depending how fast you need them.[Often 20% premium is charged for matched pairs] These types of matched side diamonds are often cut only for special order projects and mainly used in high end stores like Cartier & Graff and other high end name brand outlets. It is much easier to find smaller side accent diamonds. (3) The cost to hand make a custom mounting like this is much higher than a standard mounting. This mounting marries fine 18k (.750) yellow gold and fine (.950) platinum. The engineering of this ring includes a high polished 18k yellow gold basket with mirror plates made to hold the center stone to help bring the color out of the center stone. This ring was built by a master builder to bring out the color of the center stone and still show the stone's beauty. Item was obtained pre-owned and obtained with other GRAFF items. Many rings similar to this are built with a closed basket, which not does take much talent.
