A little rubbing, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle. Very Good (VG) – Clearly USED but still quite usable. More light crackle or background noise. Surface scratches are more visible but do not produce skips or distortion. Very Good Minus (VG-) – Significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise. Sometimes a 45 RPM record has a hole punched near the main spindle hole. These are cut-out records.
