Description: Gibson J-50 ADJ Acoustic Guitar with serial # 858500 (1966 or 1969) J50 ADJ with nice sturdy hard shell,lined case. Great guitar with a lovely sound. Easy, comfortable playability. I am not an expert but based on what I've seen ,learned this guitar is in very good condition. Only thing worth mentioning are the age cracks on front below bridge area,visible but minimal again in my opinion and has no effect on the Quality of sound or playability of guitar. Most others I've seen for sale have nicks,scraps and pitting this guitar does not!! SEE PHOTOS provided! Its serial # 858500 is located on back of headstock,and marked/stamped J50ADJ in interior (visible thru sound hole). I feel down an internet rabbithole trying to search for date of manufacture based on the serial. Best I could see in a Gibson discussion forum based on its 6 digit serial,interior stamp,and 858500 it stated it was an 66 or 69 model. Again best information I could find,feel free to search it out yourself too. This does make sense with what I know of the guitar. This guitars history as we know is: A second hand purchase from a shop back in 1976/77 for my father in law. He played and enjoyed it during high school. Legend is His high school girlfriend added the flowers to pickguard with what he called paint or nailpolish. It has worn off over time and likely could be removed with proper knowledge and agent. The guitar was passed on to my Husband while he was in high school 1997/98. He has played and enjoyed it since. We do not need to sell this guitar but are merely looking to down size our possessions as we are getting older and my Husband's health has regrettably declined. So only serious inquiries please because we will gladly keep it and pass it on in the family. Offering this for sale in Hopes it will become a daily player for someone and bring them joy.
