Description: -This original H. Gerstner and Sons wooden machinists chest is an incredibly well built piece. The wood is absolutely beautiful. Has seven separate drawers. Drawers are felt lined and the felt has discolor and heavy wear. Beautiful clasp lock, Diamond pull and Fleur-De-Lis rear hardware. Original leather handle. Based on its style, this chest dates from 1923-1940. -Has metal hardware over the corners. The wood has a dark stain finish. There is age and wear as this piece is early! Original mirror inside the lid. -Great for storing supplies or smalls. The old felt does smell like old machinist tools and grease. Overall just a great piece.
