This cavalry regiment was created in 1860 from 4th and 5th Escadron of Husars Regiments 7,8,9, and 11. It was stationed in Hofgeismar. The first commander was future General Field Marshall Edwin von Manteuffel. The regiment that took part in Franco-Prussian War and in First World War. Material: aluminum.
