Description: This is a German Young Horseman's Sports Badge (Deutsches Jugend-Reiterabzeichen in Bronze). This is a round bronze fine zinc badge; the obverse depicting a ride on top of a horse, surrounded by a laurel wreath with an "R" for "Reiter" (German - Equestrian) on the bottom; the reverse plain, with a horizontal pin-back (there is some corrosion on the reverse). It is marked "34" on the reverse for "Willy Annetsberger, Munchen"; measuring 30.75 mm in diameter; weighing 8.3 grams. I purchased it in 2001 from a private collector. "Forman's Guide to TR German Awards & Documents, Volume 2" currently values this Badge at $350.00 (page 446). NOTE: These are all pieces from my 30 year personal collection of WW2 Militaria that I am now liquidating. They are all authentic unless otherwise noted in the description.
