A wild scene of battle between a cowboy and Native American, both mounted on rearing horses, a group of cowboys watch from the distance at right, a lone Indian brave is off to the left. Good sized, the image measures 12 1/4 x 9 inches, sheet size is approx. 17 3/4 x 13 1/2 inches. It is printed on wove paper, evenly toned to a light cream color and has a couple of tiny spots in the margins and a line of tape residue to the very top edge, otherwise excellent condition. Signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin, it is also signed and dated in the plate and is titled "Reiter" in pencil on the reverse.
