Description: An amazing gem calcite crystal that was initially thought to be Quartz, but the crystallography and internal fractures show it to be a very clear and lustrous Calcite. Not only is this an excellent Calcite from this classic locality, but it is associated with yellow Charlesite at the base. Both species have been confirmed by SEM with EDS in June of 1997. This was previously in the Martin Jensen collection who received it in a trade from Harvey Gordon on April 1, 1997. Fantastic in person, hard to capture its beauty in photos.
