It is one of a handful of Garcinias that has grown well in the high pH sandy loam at our farm in south Florida. Its unique identifying characteristic is its very handsome foliage that has a stiff point at the end.The fruit flavor is sweet, with not much acid, and might be described as a mixture of Garcinia intermedia and Garcinia livingstonei. Mild citrus tones dominate the flavor profile.
