Description: I own (and LOVE) the GX617 camera. Recently a friend of mine got ahold of one but did not have the hood. I modeled this aftermarket hood off of the spec of my own hood. Printed in black matte PETG (printed as 2 separate pieces, then bonded together) with a threaded insert for the tightening screw. The OEM tightening screw is a very specialized (knurled thumb screw with another threaded hole bored into the threaded end to screw on a small rubber bumper). Instead, this design relies on an M3 nylon screw which should not cause your lens barrel any damage provided you're careful not to screw down exorbitantly tightly.
