MORE LIKE TRIPLE THE LIFE OF YOUR FUEL PUMP?ANSWER: THEN STOP USING FUEL WITH ANY ETHANOL IN IT! THEY WILL NEVER TELL YOU THIS BUTETHANOL EATS AWAY AT THIN RUBBER AND THIN PLASTIC.FUEL WITH ETHANOL IN IT WAS NOT MADE FOR YOUR SMALL ENGINE. DEFINETLY NOT MADE FOR THE FUEL PUMP TO HAVE IT RAN THRU IT. ETHANOL WILL EVENTUALLY START EATTING AWAY AT YOUR CARBURETOR COMPONETS AS WELL, LIKE THE NEEDLE SEAT AND BOWL GASKET!!!THERE ARE FUEL STATIONS OUT THERE THAT SELL GASOLINE WITH NO ETHANOL IN IT.SHELL FUEL STATIONS OF 93 V-POWER IS A GOOD PLACE TO START.THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE LIKE STANDARD OIL, AMACO AND CHEVRON FUEL STATIONS TO NAME A FEW, AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS. LOOK AT THE PUMP HANDEL! IT SHOWS RIGHT ON IT! IT WILL TELL YOU IF IT IS E-10, E-15, E-30 OR E-85. E-85 IS JUST WHAT IT MEANS! 85% ETHANOL!!!! YOUR FUEL PUMP WONT LAST BUT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AT MOST IF YOU PUT THAT E-85 IN IT. READ THIS!!! WE RECENTLY HAD A PERSON WHO BOUGHT 3 OE FUEL PUMPS FROM US OVER THE SUMMER OF 2021 BUTTHEY NEVER ASKED US ANY QUESTIONS OR SAID A WORD TO US. WE JUST HAPPEN TO SEE WHAT THEY PUT IN THE FEEDBACK TO US.THE FEEDBACK THEY LEFT US WENT SOMETHING LIKE THIS..."HOPEFULLY THREE TIMES IS A CHARM.". WE WERE A LITTLE CONFUSED WHAT THAT MEANT SO WE COPIED THEIR USER-NAME AND WENT TO OUR EMAIL AND POPPED IT INTO THE SEARCH. SURE, AS HECK THEY DID MAKE 3 PURCHASES WITHIN 5 MONTHS TIME FROM US! WE IMEDIATLY MESSAGED THEM AND ASKED THEM THIS... "WHEN YOU GO TO THE FUEL STATION TO FILL YOUR GAS CAN, WHAT IS IT THAT YOU PUT IN IT?". HER REPLY, "WELL, I USUALLY FILL UP MY TRUCK AND THEN FILL MY GAS JUG".WE THEN ASKED, "WHAT FUEL ARE YOU PUTTING IN YOUR TRUCK.". HER REPLY WAS "THE CHEAPER E85.". WE ALREADY HAD OUR SUSPICION OF WHAT SHE WAS USING. WE THEN TOLD HER EVERYTHING THAT WE JUST EXPLAINED TO YOU ABOVE AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE NEVER HEARD BACK OR EVEN SEEN ANOTHER PURCHASE FROM THEM.HONESTLY, WE WERE SURPRISED THAT THE OE MADE FUEL PUMP EVEN LASTED THAT LONG WITH ALMOST STRAIGHT E-85 ETHANOL BEING RAN THRU IT BUT THEN AGAIN, THEFUEL PUMP DOES HAVE THE THICKER PIT LINER DIAPHRAGM IN IT TO MAKE IT LAST LONGER. CHECK THIS OUT! WE HAVE ONE ON OUR EXMARK LAZER Z 60 CUT WITH KOHLER COMMAND PRO THAT WAS REPLACED BACK WHEN IT HAD AROUND 400 HOURS ON IT. IT NOW HAS 2,300 ON IT WITH THE SAME FUEL PUMP AND STILL RACKING UP THE HOURS.THAT IS ALL FROM USING THE RIGHT FUEL ALONG WITH THE OE FUEL PUMP THAT WAS MADE FOR THE ENGINE! WATCH OUT FOR THE CHINA LOOK-A-LIKE FUEL PUMPS! THERE ARE FUEL PUMPS OUT THERE THAT LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE OE ONE YOU SEE HERE FOR YOUR ENGINE.THEM DEFECTIVE FAKES WILL NOT WORK RIGHT AND I SERIOUSLY MEAN THAT MOST DO NOT EVEN WORK AT ALL!!! LOOK AT THE LAST THREE PHOTOS TO SEE WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!THEIR INTERNAL COMPONETS ARE MADE OF SOME HORRIBLE QUAILITY MATERIAL THAT ARE JUST ALL AROUND MADE WRONG! 1. THE DIAPRAGM IS TOO SMALL AROUND! IT IS THIN AND TOO SMALL AROUND WHERE IT DOES NOT SIT INTO THE RESSESED AREA WHERE IT IS SUPOSED TO. THIS CAUSES IT TO BE TOO TIGHT! IF IT IS TOO TIGHT THEN IT (THE DIAPHRAGM) CANNOT FLUCTUATE BACK AND FORTH TO PUMP THE FUEL! 2. EVEN IF THEY DID ACIDENTLY MAKE THE DIAPHRAGM THE RIGHT SIZE, IT STILL WILL NOT WORK RIGHT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT MAKE THE BRASS BREATHER VENT WITH THE RIGHT FLOW FOR THEDIAPHRAGM TO BE ABLE TO PUMP THE FUEL!!! 3. THE MATERIAL THAT THEY USED TO MAKE THE DIAPHRAGM IS NOT MADE OF THICK RUBBER AND THE SPRING THEY USED TO PUSH THE DIAPHRAGM BACK WAS MADE TOO STIFF SO THAT IT WILL NOT ALLOW THE ENGINES PISTON TO MAKE THE MOVEMENT OF WHAT THE DIAPHRAGM NEEDS TO PUMP THE FUEL!!! WITH IT NOT WORKING CORRECTLY OR IF AT ALL, THEN IT WILL WEAR OUT YOUR STARTER MOTOR FASTER AND SHORTEN THE LIFE OF YOUR BATTERY! LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PHOTOS OF THIS LISTING! THAT FAKE FUEL PUMP YOU SEE IN THE LAST FEW PHOTOS WAS FROM SOMEONE WHO BOUGHT/MADE A PRIOR PURCHASE ELSWHERE AND THEN FOUND IT TO NOT WORK.THEY THEN MADE A PURCHASE FROM US AND TRIED TO DO A RETURN OF THE FAKE ONE TO US TO GET THE LARGER REFUND. LITTLE DID THEY KNOW THAT TO THE TRAINED EYE THERE IS A TINY DIFFERENCE FROM OUR OE ONE AND THE FAKE ONES THAT WE CANNOT SHOW ANYONE OF BECAUSE THEN, THEY WILL ONLY TRY TO MAKE THAT LITTLE CORRECTION IN THE FUTURE TO WHERE IT WILLMAKE IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT FOR US TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE FROM THE OE ONE TO THE FAKE ONE WITHOUT TAKING IT APART! AS FOR THEM, THEY WERE REPORTED, THERE WAS NO REFUND GIVEN AND THEY WERE THEN BLOCKED FROM EVER TRYING TO MAKE ANY FUTURE PURCHASES FROM US AGAIN! THIS OE FUEL PUMP.... YOU SEE HERE IN THE FIRST FEW PHOTOS IS THE POLY RESIN FIBER (NOT CHEAP PLASTIC) FUEL PUMP WITH A THICKER (NOT THIN) PIT LINER RUBBER DIAPHRAGM THAT IS SERVICEABLE. MADE TO WHERE YOU CAN CAREFULLY TAKE IT APART TO CLEAN IT IF NEEDED. THIS ALSO COMES WITH TINY RUBBER CAPS COVERING THE INLET, OUTLET AND VACUUM PORTS TO KEEP INSECTS FROM GETTING INSIDE AND RUINING THE DIAPHRAGM DURING STORAGE. THAT IS JUST ANOTHER PREVENTATIVE MEASURE TAKEN SO THAT OUR CUSTOMERS KNOW THAT THEY WILL RECEIVE A WORRY-FREE OE FUEL PUMP STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. THE BOTTOM-LINE IS.... NOW TURN ON YOUR SHUT OFF VALVE, IF YOU HAVE NO FREE-FLOW OF FUEL THEN IT IS SAFE TO SAY THAT THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE GAS TANK LIKE GRASS, LEAVES OR DEBRIS STOPING THE FUEL FLO. THIS SHOULD GIVE YOU AN INDICATION THAT YOU MAY NOT NEED A FUEL PUMP. NOW IF YOU LOOSEN YOUR GAS TANKS FUEL CAP JUST A LITTLE AND BLOW SOME AIR INTO THE FUEL LINE GOING BACK TO THE FUEL TANK AND THEN PUT THE HOSE BACK INTO THE QUART JAR AND LOWER IT TO THE GROUND AGAIN AND YOU NOW HAVE FUEL FLOW THEN YOU KNOW THAT YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE FUEL TANK TO CLEAN IT OUT. WHY? BECAUSE WHATEVER IT WAS IS GOING TO FLOAT BACK INTO THE WAY AGAIN AND RESTRICT THE FUEL FLOW IF YOU DONT CLEAN IT OUT. LET'S SAY YOU HAD FUEL FLOW AFTER LOWERING THE LINE TO THE GROUND IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEN YOU NEED TO BLOW THROUGH THE FUEL PUMP ON THE INLET PORT. IF YOU CAN'T BLOW THROUGH IT THEN REMOVE THE LINE FROM THE FUEL PUMP THAT GOES DIRECTLY TO THE CARBURETOR. NOW TRY TO BLOW THROUGH THAT HOSE GOING IN TO THE CARBURETOR. IF YOU STILL CAN'T, THEN YOU KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMETHING PLUGGED IN THE NEEDLE SEAT AREA THAT IS INSIDE OF THE CARBURETOR. SOMETHING IS STOPPING THAT FLOW. REMOVE THE CARBURETOR AND TAKE IT TO A PROFESSIONAL TO HAVE IT SERVICED. IF YOU ARE A CERTIFIED MECHANIC THEN TAKE THE CARBURETOR APART YOURSELF AND REMOVE THE FLOAT BOWL AND NEEDLE FROM THE NEEDLE SEAT. NOW ATTACH AN AIR HOSE TO THE NEEDLE SEAT WHERE YOU PULLED THE NEEDLE OUT OF AND BLOW BACK THROUGH IT WITH AN AIR HOSE. IT SHOULD HAVE NOW BLOWN OUT WHATEVER IT WAS THAT PLUGGED IT UP. NOW REASSEMBLE THE CARBURETOR IN THE SAME MANNER IT WAS TAKEN APART AND TRY TO BLOW LOW PREASURE (WE DO IT BY MOUTH) INTO THE CARBURETOR FROM THE INLET PORT GOING IN TO THE CARBURETOR. YOUR PROBLEM SHOULD NOW BE SOLVED. NOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FROM YOUR FUEL TANK TO YOUR ENGINES CARBURETOR IS MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS ASSEMBELED IN THIS ORDER...CLEAR FUEL LINE FROM GAS TANK-to-FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE-to-FUEL FILTER-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-FUEL PUMP-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-CARBURETOR.
