This scientific gram scale still reads to 0.01g, but gives more accurate and dependable measurements. No scale is shipped until its linearity and repeatability error is measured at less than ±0.03g 10 times in a row at 4 different masses and in 4 different spots on the scale. CALIBRATED, TESTED AND INSPECTED: Every precision balance is calibrated by an expert, then tested for linearity (closeness to true mass, using different masses) and repeatability (showing the same mass every time). Before our laboratory scales leave the factory they are throughly inspected by a trained third party to no defects.
