Description: PRISTINE GORGEOUS HISTORIC MUSEUM QUALITY Large ribbon, with probable sterling pendant, later 1800's, from ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, FREMONT, OHIO. This church was started in 1857, especially to serve the large German immigrant local population. A new church was opened in 1891 at 709 Croghan St. This ribbon, carefully packed away for well over a century, must have been created to celebrate an important event, but I can't read German!
