Description: Franciscan Apple Set of 4 Bread & Butter Dessert Side Plates 1947-1949 USA For consideration is this set of 4 vintage earthenware bread and butter plates manufactured by Franciscan Pottery and made in the U.S.A., in their famous and highly collectible Apple pattern. The pattern has embossed deep ruby red apples, bright green leaves and brown branches, all hand painted on a creamy white background. These bread and butter plates measure 6 3/8 inches in diameter and each has the round earthenware back stamp and “Hand Decorated” in black ink which was used between 1947 and 1949 (see photos). All 4 plates are in beautiful vintage condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs, scratches, discoloration or crazing noted. Buyer will pay shipping on a 3 pound box. Thank you for looking!
