Description: THIS KIT REPAIRS ONE (1) MOTOR. This is the highest quality repair kit you will find for the do-it-your-self-er to do a basic rebuild of the gear assembly in your Ford, Lincoln, Mercury power window motor. If your motor spins but does not open the window, opens the window partially, or keeps running with a clunking noise after it has opened or closed then this kit is what you need. If you need to repair two or more motors, then please select the quantity that you need above.*NOTE: This kit does not include a new gear because most of the time the original nylon gear is still in good shape and can be cleaned up and re-used as long as your motor is original and has not been previously repaired with inferior parts. Deterioration of the three torque pins inside the gear is usually what causes the gear to slip on the drive shaft. Don't waste your money on a new nylon gear (that may be inferior to OEM) if you do not need it. This kit includes 3 new lifetime Delrin torque pins. These torque pins are the best you can buy because they are Made in the USA and precision machined +/- .001" for even torque spread around the entire gear. These Delrin pins will last the lifetime of your vehicle and will never deteriorate and break up over time like the OEM and replacement gel pins that most others are selling. As a bonus I will also include a package (1/4 oz) of the same high quality OEM grease that I use when rebuilding headlight motors for my customers. This is the correct grease for this application and will preserve your nylon gear. This grease has a high film strength, so it stays put and won't run or melt with a effective operating temperature from -20 degrees to +600 degrees. I do not know of any other sellers that include the correct gear grease for the nylon gear. Most power window motors fail because of the OEM torque pins failing and turning into ground up bits inside the gear. This causes the gear to slip on the drive shaft. *Beware cheap hand made replacement torque pins which are incorrectly or inconsistently sized. These are most often the reason for damaged, cracked, or broken gears. They should fit snug inside the gear with no slop but not so tight that you must force the gear assembly together. **Beware the OEM style gel torque pins which are designed (in my opinion) to have a lifespan just like the OEM gel pins meaning they are designed to deteriorate and fail over time. I have also seen many of the replacement hollow nylon torque pins that will also eventually break up and fail. Please see the compatibility chart for vehicle compatibility.
