Description: This is a Flemish Art Wood Carving- also known technique as Pyrography, or even crudely "Tramp Art"This piece is an original from the Arts and Crafts Era Circa 1900 and was manufactured in USA.Pyrography is know as "writing with fire" It was a popular hobby in the early 1900's.After the design was burned in- pieces were often painted and dated.#854 was made by Flemish Art in New York- they are known for their business statement of "Quality is Standard" It is a beautiful still life of red flowers, I believe are wild roses in a vase. The colors are still quite vibrant.It measures: 14 3/4 inches in diameter.It has a round hanger attached to its top for hanging ease.
