Description: Handwritten letter dated July 6, 1940, from Jackie to Mother who lives in Lawndale, California. Jackie is at the Civilian Conservation Corps. headquarters in Van Nuys. His 2-page letter mentions Camp Castaic and fire fighting. There are two sheets of paper in good but used condition, with folds, creases, stains and signs of yellowing. This includes the original envelope postmarked July 8, 1940, with an Van Nuys cancellation and a 3-cent purple Washington stamp. This comes from my personal collection. My name is Magician Michael Johnson, one of the top Magicians in Palm Springs. I enjoy collecting memorabilia because it inspires me. I've been a Magician most of my life. I wrote a book titled "Playing Cards Autographed By Magicians: A Collector's Guide" that is available on Amazon. Over the years, I have accumulated one of the largest collections of super cool collectibles in the world. (O.k., I confess, I'm a packrat.) Now I'm selling off my collection to finance new adventures. Maybe you'll find something you like? There's nothing like a fun collectible to stimulate the imagination. Thanks for taking a moment to read my listing. Have a great day!
