Description: This auction is for a Five Shilling banknote from Fiji dated 1.3.1938 (P-37, variety b). This item is heavily circulated, ragged, damaged and has the following: very heavy folding and wear (also has many heavier creases and areas of wrinkled folding, folded-over areas, many areas of damage exist - item is in poor condition); overall dark staining and darker areas of spot/line/section stains (also has smudges, many dark and dirty areas, grease and/or rust stains, areas of discoloration, foreign substances exist on this - note torn in two and taped back together with tape that has yellowed and with glue staining the note); very heavy edge and corner wear (including corners rounded and/or split/frayed/damaged - edges rough/damaged in many areas); many edge indents/nicks/tears (multiple and many larger tears exist); very heavy surface wear (many areas of fraying exist); many holes exist and many are very large; many pieces missing due to heavy wear and damage.
