The signature on the envelope is hand-signed by Donn Eisele, an astronaut who served as the command module pilot for the Apollo 7 mission. The authenticity of the autograph has not been officially authenticated, but the signature looks to be genuine. This set is a must-have for any space enthusiast or stamp collector. The stamps are in excellent condition and the envelope has been well-preserved. There are 4 first day of issue "Project Mercury" stamps on the envelope and was cancelled at the Cape Canaveral post office on Feb 20th, 1962. See photos for details, condition, & signature.
