Description: Brand New w/ Warranty. We are an authorized Fano Dealer. Like what you see All photos are of the exact instrument you will receive. Each Fano Oltre series guitar is handbuilt in the USA using an old-growth North American Alder body, maple neck and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The result is a resonant, lively instrument crafted with care and precision. This series allows for a number of customizations, from color to pickguard, knobs to pickups. Models can be built with either a maple or rosewood fretboard to meet the needs of a variety of players. If this isn’t the exact Fano you are looking for, contact us to spec one out precisely to your liking! What Do We Think If the neck P-90 is the jovial uncle, the Imperial humbucker in the bridge is the angry cousin from NY. That Lollar P-90 is warm and round, but equally expressive. It can hold up under pressure, maintaining its warm disposition even with overdrives or dirty amps. The bridge humbucker is shorter tempered. It snarls as soon as an amp even approaches breakup. And absolutely roars when you get the amp cranking. Whether ripping lead lines up the neck or chugging out first position riffs, it has a voice that makes itself heard. The low end is tight and muscular, the midrange a bit surly. The middle position is crisp and clear. She’s the college-educated one in the family. Her vocabulary is extensive and every pick attack precise. This is a position you won’t quite find in the middle of your dual-humbucker guitars. She’s less filtered and more nuanced. How Does It Play The early ‘60s-inspired C profile is temperately slim, but with a nice amount of shoulder to support the hand and thwart fatigue. The finish is sanded naturally off the back of the neck to prevent any nitro stick as your hands get moving. The string action measures barely a hair over 4/64” on the low E string at the 12th fret, and under 4/64” on the high E. There is no fretbuzz to be found anywhere!
