Description: burrs are the perfect companions for your rotary carving tools, designed to work easily and efficiently where other conventional tools fail. Proudly crafted in the USA, they perform with remarkable wear-life and provide a truly unique combination of superior material removal and surface quality. With effortless operation (with or against the grain) and resistance to loading, you'll use them project after project. Their outstanding performance on a wide variety of materials will keep them locked in your favorite grinder. Wood, plastic, drywall, rubber, fiberglass, and soft stone, they will be your go-to workhorse for any task. NOTE: Should only be used on non-metallic materials. Cylinder - A rotary carving kit isn’t complete without the essential Cylinder Burr. The Cylinder Burr is often used to cut flat surfaces or 90˚ corners. Tilt the tool and you can use the corner to notch out v-shaped cuts, or show off your freehand skills and use it to soften or round-over sharp edges. Extreme Coating – When heavy material removal is desired. Exceptionally resistant to loading; great for working with wet or gummy woods. Diameter and head length dimensions on burrs are base dimensions. The coatings add approximately .060" - .102" with popular grinders with 1/8” collets or adjustable chucks including: Dremel, Foredom, Dewalt, Milwaukee and more. Recommended operating speed range is 10,000 - 25,000 RPM. They will remove material at lower speeds (hand drills, drill presses) but both material-removal rate and control improve as speed increases. Cleaning: They can be easily cleaned using a torch and/or a quick few passes with a soft wire brush, the heat will not harm the teeth! Rapid Material Removal: Their hybrid performance removes material at an exceptional rate while maintaining surface quality ready for final finishing. Easy to Control: The Rotary Burrs can easily cut with or against the grain with incredibly smooth cutting action. The 1/8" diameter shaft burrs are great for intricate details and small areas. **Must use with 1/8" collet or adjustable chuck** Versatile: Easily shape, contour, relieve, notch flatten, trim, hollow or adjust a wide variety of non-metallic materials including wood, fiberglass, foam, rubber, plastic, drywall, composites and soft-stone. Incredibly Durable: Featuring Tungsten-Carbide abrasive, 'structured tooth' technology. Outlasts 100X conventional abrasives. Very resistant to loading, they can easily be cleaned with a soft-wire brush or burned with a torch, the heat won't harm the teeth! Made in the USA: Tools have been handcrafted for over 60 years. Their dedication to quality has made them the tools of choice amongst woodworkers and artisans worldwide.
