A history of the famous statue The End of the Trail located in the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. The statue was originally displayed at the Panama-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco in 1915. Chapters on the life of the sculptor James Earle Fraser and Laura Gardin Fraser. Chapters on the restoration of the statue. Includes a gallery of works by the Frasers. The statue was thought to represent the idea at the time that Native Americans were doomed to extinction. Lots of glossy photos from its beginnings to the 1970s. Nice art history item. FREE S&H
