THE DUST JACKET IS COMPLETE WITH SURFACE SCUFFS, INDENTATIONS AND A SCRATCH TO THE UPPER CORNER OF THE REAR PANEL (PHOTO 9). THE BOOK IS GENERALLY VERY GOOD MINUS BUT THE CHOICE OF CLOTH FOR THE BOARDS WAS A POOR ONE. THERE IS SIGNIFICANT FADING TO THE CLOTH MAINLY ON THE BOTTOM DUE TO LIGHT EXPOSURE BUT GENERALLY ALL OVER THE FRONT BOARD (PHOTO 3) AND ON THE EDGES OF THE REAR BOARD (PHOTO 7). THERE IS A SMALL ROUND STAIN TO THE FRONT PASTE DOWN (PHOTO 8) AND A VERY SMALL STAIN TO THE TITLE PAGE TO THE LOWER RIGHT OF THE SIGNATURE THAT CAN BE SEEN ON BOTH SIDES OF THE PAGE (PHOTO 1) INTERIOR IS OTHERWISE VERY GOOD. The author was given permission by the family to photograph the house owned by Gorey after he died but before they cleaned it out.
