It is a prolific and showy bloomer with clusters of large, lightly sweet scented, white to cream trumpet shaped flowers that dangle from interesting rust toned downy calyxes. Buds begin to appear in the late winter to very early Spring and the bloom cycle last until the early summer. It is frequently at the peak of its bloom cycle around Easter. The Easter Lily Vine is easy to grow and establishes quickly. It has large dark glossy green slightly ruffled, rippled leaves that provide dense cover quickly. The leaves of the new growth are covered with soft rust colored hairs on the undersides. It makes dense, quick cover for an arbor or pergola, or can be trained as an attractive espalier on a trellis.
